Both tripboats will be leaving from Hollingwood Hub, providing a rare spectacle of two boats operating on the same stretch of canal. John Varley is usually based at Tapton Lock but low water levels there has nessitated its relocation.

Hourly cruises will run from Hollingwood Hub on March 30 and April 1 starting at 10.30am and on March 31 beginning at 10am.

If you fancy venturing further afield there will be cruises on Hugh Henshall from the Lock Keeper pub in Worksop on March 31 and April 1.

Tickets cost £9, book online at https://chesterfield-canal-trust.org.uk
