Community Trust offer free tickets to partner schools

Chesterfield FC Community Trust have offered free tickets to partner schools for the upcoming game at home to Scunthorpe United.

Around 3,000 letters have been sent out to nine different partner primary schools in the area, offering free tickets to the match, with tickets for parents costing just £15.

A further 100 letters have been sent out to girls aged 14 and above at five other schools as part of the ‘Female Football Programme’.

The Community Trust’s chief executive officer, John Croot, said: “We want to give more children than ever this year the opportunity to come to a Chesterfield match - often for the very first time - and watch the team play and help cheer us on.”

The Community Trust have numerous special activities lined up before and during the match to ensure that the children get as much as possible from attending.

Children will also be given Chesterfield FC goodie bags on the day and they won’t want to miss out on the opportunity to visit the Club Superstore and purchase their own Spireites merchandise.

Croot added: “The initiative is part of a wider partnership which offers various benefits to partner schools. Schools in partnership with the Trust will also get access to other ticket deals throughout the season, together with player appearances, fundraising support and coverage in our matchday programme.”
