After a few months of anxious waiting, thousands of Derbyshire students finally will be able to get their GCSE results today.

A week on from A-level results day, Derbyshire pupils are collecting their GCSE grades today, on Thursday, August 25.

In England, GCSEs are graded on a numerical system from 9 to 1, rather than from A to E – a grading system which was brought in alongside a new GCSE curriculum for 2017.
